James Purdey 12 gauge Over Under with
28" solid rib barrels choked 1/2 & 1/2. Straight grip stock. 14 1/2" LOP.
Purdey single trigger. Massive action with several locking points. This is an
example of the Purdey O/U that was built in the 1920's on Purdey's own design,
not the Woodward design. According to information available, this is 1 of about
20 guns built of this design. The famous Harry Lawrence, master gunsmith and
later director of Purdey's, is said to have built these guns. Gun exhibits superb
workmanship. Looks like it came off a CNC machine but it is all done by hand.
Cased in makers oak and leather case with accessories. A very rare and beautiful
gun.
